Going from day to night, casual to dressy, sensible to sexy, can be tricky. I've found that my favorite way to do it is to work it all into one outfit using versatile, timeless pieces. Here are some pieces I used to create my versatile ensemble:
-Slinky boyfriend cut blazer (mine is from Reformation)
-Crossbody bag with removable strap (mine is from LaBante London)
-Chic flats (mine are from Mink)
-Choker (vegan leather choker from Vanessa Mooney)
-Menswear inspired button front blouse (Mine if from Finders Keepers)
With these pieces I get a day look that's great for the office and/or meetings as well as an evening look that's sophisticated and sexy. I just removed the blouse, tied the blazer closed, removed the crossbody strap on my bag to make it a little more elegant, and threw on a wrap around choker that I left dangling for a little extra oomph. You can bring a change of shoes if you like but I find that a great pair of flats or low-heels will be perfect for any occasion.
With versatile pieces, you get the most out of your wardrobe and don't have to spend a fortune. You could try this look with a skirt instead of jeans or a turtleneck instead of a button front blouse. The options are endless so make it personal for you and give it a try!
