New A Harmless Project Featuring Nina Bernice
Nina Bernice is an eco-luxe handbag brand based in Melbourne, Australia. Their bags are crafted from cork grown and harvested in Portugal without doing any damage to the environment. Cork is natural, renewable, sustainable, cruelty-free and eco-friendly material that’s also waterproof! Their bags are lined with unbleached cotton so they're ethical and sustainable inside and out!
Nina Bernice has been audited by the BSCI and passed the codes in environmental protection and ethical business behavior. No hazardous wastes were discharged during the manufacturing process of their products and they remain 100% vegan!
They’ve also collaborated with WeForest to plant a tree in India for every bag sold. WeForest has reforestation projects throughout Africa, South America and Asia as well. They've planted 15 million trees to date with no sign of slowing!
I love Nina Bernice's commitment to every aspect of ethics and sustainability. Their love for people, animals, and the planet really comes through in their practices AND their bags are outrageously gorgeous. Their cork has effortless hits of glamour with reflective gold fleck throughout the fabric. Plus, their bags have beautiful details like adjustable straps, lovely linings, and beautiful gold tone hardware.
I have their Cate Clutch, Natalie Cross Body, and Olivia Tote styled with trendy looks for Spring.
I styled their Cate Clutch with a lace detailed satin maxi dress from LPA. This lovely clutch also comes with a gold shoulder chain so this can be worn as a shoulder bag as well. The soft pink detailing on the envelop front gives it some extra sweetness.
I styled their Natalie Cross Body with a matching top and pant set from L'Academie and heels from Susi Studio. The dusty pink detailing on the suit gives it a little more visual interest and provides a great contrast to the black fabric. I LOVE what I call outside pajamas and these are sophisticated enough for adulting in the real world while still being cute and cozy.
Finally, I styled their Olivia Tote with a sweatsuit from Project Social T. This sepia tone set is super cozy and has some rad stylish details like the cut out, lace-up shoulders. I love athleisure wear that can be dressed up with a great tote. This is my go to bag at the moment. It fits everything I need, looks so chic, and goes with everything. I know I'll have this on heavy rotation for quite awhile.
